Just in case anyone needs to know, internet connection in Labuan Bajo is acceptable, but in other cities such as Bajawa or Ruteng, working with Telkomsel is more difficult.

Just arrived in Kuta for a bit over a week.

Honestly flying is so much faster! And you arrive right in kuta, the boat you arrive on the other side of the island. If you don’t have boards with you I’d fly

We ended up taking the ferry, instead of opting for the speed boats or a flight. Some reports said that it can be even faster than the speed boats based on at how many Gilis they stop and what the weather is like.
With more space on board to walk around, less shaking and other amenities in addition to the 10x cheaper price, we decided to try it.
It also goes to Lombar, which is closer to Kuta. We rented a bike online with delivery to Lombar and drove to Kuta ourselves.

PS: One crew member rented us their private room on the ferry for an extra fee. So we had our own little private space with a bed, air con, electrical outlets and a TV. So we watched some of our series on our FireTV stick and slept a little 😄

We've tried to apply for the 60 day (+ 2x possible extension by another 60 days) C1 tourist visa as well. Unfortunately, the registration process in the visa portal is really broken.
I couldn't create an account for me or my girlfriend. Because of time constraints we ended up taking VOA / B1 visa for 30 days (+ 1x 30 days expansion). By now I could create an account for me, but my girlfriend is still out of luck.
What we learned from talking to the tech support of the portal, as well as other travelers, the safest bet is to use a visa agency. They still have access to all the necessary forms.
