Anyone here know a way for a foreigner without SingPass to get a singaporean number? I've incorporated with Sleek , but they do not provide assistance for getting a local number sadly

Hey, not 100% sure here but I believe you need to get an employment pass. You can't just stay like that in SG long term without justifying with a work activity. Maybe someone else can confirm, or go look online with Perplexity?

Do you mean phone number? I’ve managed to get a phone number in person in SG with just my passport, no SingPass. I think you will have to KYC at the very least.

See if you can still switch over to Simba as it's $10/month for 400 GB and free international roaming. $30/month is way overpriced imo!

Haven’t tried the train myself (it’s super new) but the bus is easy, hoping to try this route soon. Have heard good things about the train

I liked JB, was a lot smaller than KL, still very Malaysian. Rent there was super cheap. Not really any expat vibe there, certainly a bit of a hassle to go to SG over the causeway.

The 1h flight from SG to KL is pretty painless and pretty cheap, I would recommend save your time and spend your money.

On a related tangent:

If I worked a normal remote job from Singapore it would be very appealing to switch over to live in JB and visit SG as needed, to save on the cost of living.

But then again, if you want to save on cost of living then KL is as cheap and bigger and better.

If you want to live in SG then just earn a lot more money and get the best of all worlds.

deependss.. good to do some self treatments haha Nail, Hair, spa, facial and culinary for affordable options in comparison with singapore pricings, but for work and career, Spore is great for earnings and savings, small nation but strong passport
