Any meetups in Penang during the first week of July?

Lazada no longer accepts my Revolut cards. Even though I used it for years. Additionally, Wise can no longer top up my Touch'n'Go wallet via Duitnow.

Anyone else has the same issues?

Maybe create a new digital card for wise?

Wise does a direct transfer to TNG wallet based on my Malaysian number. Registered and validated in TNG a while ago. TNG still highlights topping up via Wise as a valid option. There's no payment card involved in this process.

Maybe TNG not accepting from WISE for now / Lazada not accepting REVOLUT.

Yeah, it's so random with all the Malaysian wallets and payments. Boost was working for me for some time, now it doesn't. TNG was, now it doesn't. The same with Grab wallet.

Seems I just need to default to Revolut & Wise cards. And if all fails, just withdraw cash from the local ATMs, as both Rev and Wise offer high thresholds to take out cash without fees.

All other payment solutions are unreliable and unpredictable.

I topped up TnG with wise around 5 days ago

FYI, most of ATMs in Malaysia are fee-free.

Just did it again to test and it worked.

A friend of mine applied to it this year. After a couple of weeks they requested more infos, then it took another couple of weeks until the status changed to "imigrating". That's all I know.

Applied on January 1, received "your application has been approved" email on August 6.

• Is Kuala Lumpur better for networking and co-working, while Penang has more of a relaxed vibe?
